Sponsorship Opportunities with CMS

The Capital Medical Society offers different opportunities for businesses to interact with the physicians of CMS. Advertising in our Cap Scan newsletter, sponsorships for our membership meetings and our Lunch & Learn series are all opportunities.

Monthly Newsletter

Please see our Rate Sheet for information about advertising in our Cap Scan newsletter. Our newsletter is the only regular, direct mail publication to physicians in our area. Call the CMS office for an Advertising Contract, 877-9018.

Meeting Sponsorships

Annual CME Conference – the last weekend in January every year, CMS provides a 6-hour CME program for physicians, ARNP’s and physician assistants. Sponsors are selected to enhance the educational aspect of the conference. Therefore companies who are selected provide products and services that relate to the CME topic. Sponsorships range from $500 - $1,000.

CMS Membership and CME Meetings are held in April, May, July, September, October and November. This meeting involves a business meeting and then a 1-hour CME program. Typically these meetings are sponsored by one or two companies. The representatives of sponsoring companies attend the social time before the meeting, and have table displays. Representatives also stay for dinner and have time afterwards to visit with CMS members.

CMS holds several Social Functions each year. Typically two or three companies sponsor each event.

• Celebration Awards Dinner in March
• Doctor/Child or Doctor/Family Dinner in June
• Newcomer Welcome Reception in October

CMS Foundation Holiday Auction – always the first Thursday evening in December, the CMS Foundation seeks business sponsors from the community who are interested in supporting the charitable endeavors of their local physicians. All proceeds from this event goes toward the charitable projects of the CMS Foundation, particularly to scholarships for medical students in their 1st and 2nd year at FSU-College of Medicine and to the Foundation’s We Care Network. Sponsorships levels are $1,000, $2,500 and $5,000. Tallahassee State Bank has been our Lead Sponsor since 2001.

Lunch & Learn Sponsorships

CMS presents a monthly Lunch & Learn seminar series, from January through May and September through November. These seminars are offered for physician office staff (clinical and non-clinical), practice administrators, office managers and business office managers. CMS member offices only! Topics are designed especially for physician office staff – providing useful and current information to enhance all aspects of daily work life!

Sponsors attend the luncheon and have table displays. They are introduced to the participants and make a brief presentation about their products or services. Sponsorship cost is $200.
